Support Services
Play Therapy
At ACT for Meningitis, we understand that children often struggle to express the complex emotions that follow a meningitis diagnosis — whether they’ve been directly affected or are coping with the loss or illness of a loved one. Our play therapy service offers a safe, supportive space where children can explore their feelings through play, creativity, and gentle guidance from qualified therapists. Delivered in a child-led and age-appropriate way, this service helps young people process trauma, build resilience, and regain a sense of emotional safety. It’s just one of the many ways we ensure no child faces the impact of meningitis alone.

Losing a loved one…
Losing a loved one to meningitis is a devastating experience, and the journey through grief can feel isolating and overwhelming. At ACT for Meningitis, we are committed to walking alongside families during their most difficult times. Our bereavement support services provide a compassionate and confidential space where individuals can share their grief, find comfort, and begin to heal — at their own pace. Whether through one-to-one counselling, peer support, or simply someone to talk to who understands, we ensure that no one has to face the loss of a loved one to meningitis alone.
